Writing Your Own
- βKeep each line short. The names are the star, and a long opening line delays them.
- βEnd the opening line by naming the team, so it leads straight into the first player.
- βExclamation marks make the announcer bring the energy.
- βSave the big crowd line for the closing, after the last name.
You can type any opening and closing line on the order form, up to 200 characters each.
FAQ
What do you say for a starting lineup introduction?
An opening line that sets the stage ("Here is your starting lineup for the Thunder!"), then each player by number and name, then a closing line to fire up the gym. Build the energy in the opening and save the loudest line for the closing.
How do I use one of these basketball scripts?
Type your team name at the top of the page, then tap "Make this one" on the script you like. The order form opens with your team name, opening line and closing line already filled in. Add your players and their numbers, hear every name, and your announcement is delivered instantly.
Where do the player names go?
Between the opening and closing lines. The announcer reads the opening line, then calls each player by number and name, then finishes with the closing line, all over background music.
Can I change the words?
Yes. The script is just a starting point: once it is in the order form you can edit either line however you like, up to 200 characters each.
